Having launched the new Strangford to Portaferry car ferry at Strangford, HRH The Duke Of Kent arrived in Portaferry to re-open Exploris Aquarium, during his July 2017 tour of the Ards, County Down, Northern Ireland.  

The car-ferry takes vehicles and foot passengers in both directions, across the half mile stretch of water in 15 minutes.
