Celia Lee is an honorary research fellow of the Centre for First World War Studies, University of Birmingham. She has made a special study of the role of Churchill women in war. She is the author of Jean, Lady Hamilton and Jack: The Churchill Brothers and The Churchills: A Family Portrait. She is currently writing a study of the public work of HRH The Duke of Kent.
John Lee is an Executive Officer of the British Commission for Military History, an Honorary Research Fellow of the Centre for First World War Studies at Birmingham University, a National Council Member of the Army Records Society and a rank-and-file member of the Western Front Association and the Gallipoli Association. He is well known as a writer, lecturer and battlefield tour guide specialising in the operational history of the First World War. He works in publishing, lives in London and Northern Ireland, and is married to Celia, a fellow historian and biographer.
